As we all know, about two dozen Americans died in Iraq on Saturday alone. But this one death is bad enough while we wait for the official announcements to pour in over the next day or so.

The Department of Defense has identified 3,014 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the death of the following American on Saturday:

ALOMAR, Joseph D., 22, Petty Officer Second Class, Navy; Brooklyn, N.Y.; Navy Provisional Detention Battalion.
